Straight answers about how this tool handles your chat.

    Nothing is uploaded

The file is read with the browser's own File API and analysed in this tab. No request carrying your chat is ever made.

    Nothing is stored

Results live in page memory only. Close or refresh the tab and they are gone.

    No account needed

The analyzer works signed out. Creating a Neverfar account is a separate, optional step.

    WhatsApp chat analyzer FAQ

Everything people ask before dropping a chat in.

Is the WhatsApp chat analyzer free?

Yes. It is completely free, has no usage limit and does not require an account or a sign-in.

Is my WhatsApp chat uploaded anywhere?

No. The export is read with the browser's File API and analysed by JavaScript running in your own tab. No network request carrying your chat is made, nothing is written to a server, and results disappear when you close the tab.

    What file can I upload?

Either the .txt file from a WhatsApp export without media, or the .zip from an export with media — the analyzer reads the chat text file inside the zip and ignores the media.

How do I export a WhatsApp chat?

Open the chat, tap the contact or group name, choose Export chat, then choose Without media. WhatsApp hands you a .txt (or .zip) file you can open here.

Which languages and date formats are supported?

The parser handles iPhone and Android exports, 12- and 24-hour clocks, day-first and month-first dates, and localised AM/PM markers and system messages including Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, French and German exports.

    What does the analyzer measure?

Message and word counts per person, share of the conversation, average message length, median reply time, who starts conversations, activity by hour and weekday, longest streak and silence, top emoji and most-used words.

Does it work on group chats?

Yes. Every participant gets their own row of statistics; system messages such as joins and leaves are excluded from the counts.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. It runs in mobile browsers; open the export from your device's file picker after saving it from WhatsApp.
